Meet our Students

“I chose MNU because the environment here is quite enjoyable and in addition to the good quality of teaching, MNU also organizes different events aimed at developing students for the life ahead. Compared to other colleges in Maldives, I am very happy with MNU and appreciate that they provide us payment plans that makes education much more accessible and affordable.”

Rameeza
Bachelor of Shari'ah & Law (Honours), 2021

“I chose MNU because I wanted to study Hospitality and Tourism. After joining MNU I gained a lot of experiences that I could not get from my years of schooling. Most notably the experiences so far are the ones I’ve had taking part in the many events organized by MNU.”

Danny
Bachelor of International Hospitality Management, 2022

Student Life

Life at Kulhudhuffushi Campus

Kulhudhuffushi Campus is the Northern-most campus of the Maldives National University (MNU), first established on 7th March 1987 as the “Rural Youth Vocational Training Centre (RYVTC)” offering technical training in the areas of engineering. The campus was re-located and rebranded as a campus of the Maldives College of Higher Education (MCHE) – the precursor to MNU – in 2003. Since then, the scope of training and higher educational opportunities available on campus has tremendously expanded beyond engineering, science and technology to include other areas such as teaching, nursing, Islamic sharia and law, Arabic language and Dhivehi language, psychology, business and management, computing and ICT, and coastal navigation. Several of the courses in these areas can now be completed up to master’s degree on campus.
