“Hello, I’m an international student from Australia here at the past semster at the Maldives National University. I've been studying Bachelor of Arts in Policital Science and International Relations. My time at the Maldives National University and the Maldives in general has allowed me to grow academically and also personally. I've had the opportunity to make life long friends and experience so many different things.”
“I chose MNU because I wanted to pursue a career in the nursing field. I did some research and I found out that among the universities in Maldives, MNU offers the best nursing courses. Studying at MNU has given me countless valuable experiences. Most importantly it allowed me implement what I learnt in theory classes in a practical setting.”
Life at Kulhudhuffushi Campus
Kulhudhuffushi Campus is the Northern-most campus of the Maldives National University (MNU), first established on 7th March 1987 as the “Rural Youth Vocational Training Centre (RYVTC)” offering technical training in the areas of engineering. The campus was re-located and rebranded as a campus of the Maldives College of Higher Education (MCHE) – the precursor to MNU – in 2003. Since then, the scope of training and higher educational opportunities available on campus has tremendously expanded beyond engineering, science and technology to include other areas such as teaching, nursing, Islamic sharia and law, Arabic language and Dhivehi language, psychology, business and management, computing and ICT, and coastal navigation. Several of the courses in these areas can now be completed up to master’s degree on campus.
