Overview

The Master of Arts in Human Resource Management (MA HRM) is a 1.5-year (three-semester), MNQF Level 9 postgraduate programme designed to develop strategic HR professionals capable of leading people, driving organisational performance, and addressing complex workplace challenges. The programme integrates advanced study in strategic human resource management, talent development, employee relations, HR analytics, leadership, organisational behaviour, and applied research to strengthen evidence-based decision-making and professional practice. Through the HR Capstone Project, students apply their knowledge to investigate and develop practical solutions to real organisational issues, preparing graduates for senior HR roles and further academic progression.

Entry Requirements

General Entry

  • i) A related bachelor's degree OR a related Graduate Diploma at Level 8 and atleast 2 years of work experience

Alternative Entry

  • i) 25 years old, completion of a related Level 5 qualification, and 7 years of relevant experience (of which 3.5 years of experience is obtained after completion of a Level 5 qualification), and completion of an MQA approved Pre-Master's Program OR
  • ii) 25 years old, completion of a related Level 6 qualification, and 6 years of relevant experience (of which 3 years of experience is obtained after completion of a Level 6 qualification), and completion of an MQA approved Pre-Master's Program.

General Notes

  • Entry requirements are indicative. Depending on the sequence and the number of applications received, all qualifying students may not gain entry.
  • Circumstances may require the University to defer or cancel some courses, especially when the minimum class size (10 for certificate & diploma courses, 15 for Degrees courses) is not achieved.
  • Passes at GCE OL/SSC and HSC is considered to be grades "C" or above and passes at GCE AL is considered to be the grades "E" or above.
