Overview

The overall goal of Foundation Studies in Humanities course is to provide a pathway for students who pass in three subjects (O’Level /SSC) and desire to join undergraduate courses at different faculties of MNU, in the field of humanities. The programme teaches the basic skills and knowledge required for the smooth transition to undergraduate courses, and help these learners cope with higher education. Foundation in humanities are ideal, if you are looking to study a humanities or social science related undergraduate degree or diploma. Our programs allow to progress to a broad range of degree courses such as Phycology, Law, Sharia, Divehi language, International relations, International hospitality and tourism, and teaching courses.

General Entry

  • i) 3 Passes in GCE O' level/ SSC

General Notes

  • Entry requirements are indicative. Depending on the sequence and the number of applications received, all qualifying students may not gain entry.
  • Circumstances may require the University to defer or cancel some courses, especially when the minimum class size (10 for certificate & diploma courses, 15 for Degrees courses) is not achieved.
  • Passes at GCE OL/SSC and HSC is considered to be grades "C" or above and passes at GCE AL is considered to be the grades "E" or above.
