Overview

This short course focuses on teaching students to communicate in Japanese with accuracy and confidence in simple situations related to hospitality and tourism. Students will learn to speak Japanese with correct pronunciation and intonation, and to use essential vocabulary and expressions commonly used in hotel services, guest interactions, and customer support within tourism settings. In addition, the course introduces learners to basic Japanese writing systems—Hiragana and Katakana; enabling them to recognize and write simple words, names, signs, and frequently used expressions in hospitality contexts. The course prepares learners to handle basic guest inquiries, provide essential information, and engage in polite, culturally appropriate communication in Japanese, enhancing their professionalism in both social and workplace environments.
