Overview

The Advanced Certificate in Social Work aims to establish a foundation for students to embark on a career in social work. By obtaining an advanced certificate in social work, students become eligible to pursue a Bachelor of Social Work at MNU, which expands their career prospects. Graduates with an Advanced Certificate in Social Work can find employment opportunities in diverse fields.

Entry Requirements

General Entry

i) 4 passes at GCE O' Level / SSC OR,
ii) 18 years with 3 years work experience in a related field and an English language qualification or equivalent or satisfactory performance in an English Competency Test (ECT) given by MNU OR,
iii) Attainment of Certificate 3 in SSW

General Notes

Entry requirements are indicative. Depending on the sequence and the number of applications received, all qualifying students may not gain entry.
Circumstances may require the University to defer or cancel some courses, especially when the minimum class size (10 for certificate & diploma courses, 15 for Degrees courses) is not achieved.
Passes at GCE OL/SSC and HSC is considered to be grades "C" or above and passes at GCE AL is considered to be the grades "E" or above.
