Overview

Master of Science in Geospatial Technologies for Disaster Management is a specialized program designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to utilize geospatial technologies in disaster management and emergency response scenarios. This interdisciplinary program combines principles from geoinformatics, remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), and disaster management to develop professionals who can effectively address and mitigate the impacts of disasters using spatial data analysis and visualization techniques.

Entry Requirements

General Entry

  • i) Successful completion of Bachelor's degree in a related field OR,
  • ii) A related Graduate Diploma at Level 8

Language Requirements

  • i) Undergraduate degree in English medium or certified proficiency in English (GCE O' Level) OR IGCSE English pass / MNU English Language Competency Test) or equivalent

  • Entry requirements are indicative. Depending on the sequence and the number of applications received, all qualifying students may not gain entry.
  • Circumstances may require the University to defer or cancel some courses, especially when the minimum class size (10 for certificate & diploma courses, 15 for Degrees courses) is not achieved.
  • Passes at GCE OL/SSC and HSC is considered to be grades "C" or above and passes at GCE AL is considered to be the grades "E" or above.
