Overview

Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary) program aims to prepare individuals to become knowledgeable, skilled, and reflective educators who can inspire and guide secondary school students in their academic, personal, and social development. It equips future teachers with the tools they need to create engaging learning environments, foster critical thinking, and make a positive impact on the lives of their students.

Entry Requirements

General Entry

  • i) Two Passes at GCE A' Level Biology & Chemistry AND Three passes at GCE O' Level/SSC AND a pass in GCE O' Level English or equivalent or satisfactory performance in a written test of English, OR
  • ii) Attainment of a Level 5 qualification in one of the specialized subject AND a pass in GCE O' Level 2nd subject to be specialized AND a pass in GCE O' Level English or equivalent or satisfactory performance in a written test of English, OR
  • iii) Attainment of a level 4 qualification in one of the specialized subject and at least 1 year experience of teaching at secondary level after teaching qualification AND a pass in GCE O' Level English or equivalent or satisfactory performance in a written test of English.
  • iv) Pass in MNU Foundation Studies (C4 level) for the targeted course

General Notes

  • Entry requirements are indicative. Depending on the sequence and the number of applications received, all qualifying students may not gain entry.
  • Circumstances may require the University to defer or cancel some courses, especially when the minimum class size (10 for certificate & diploma courses, 15 for Degrees courses) is not achieved.
  • Passes at GCE OL/SSC and HSC is considered to be grades "C" or above and passes at GCE AL is considered to be the grades "E" or above.
