Overview

The course aims to cater to individuals who have completed lower secondary education and have prior experience working in the environmental sector. It also extends its reach to those who have been actively engaged in the field, possessing a primary education level, and have accumulated significant work experience. These individuals, despite their valuable practical knowledge, may have faced limitations in pursuing further academic qualifications necessary to meet the job requirements within the environmental field.

Entry Requirements

General Entry

  • i) Successful completion of Lower Secondary Education (Key stage 4) with passes in any 2 Science subjects OR
  • ii) Attainment of a Level 3 qualification in a related field

Alternative Entry

  • i) 18 years old and 1 year work experience in a related field AND Ability to communicate in the language of instruction (English)

General Notes

  • Entry requirements are indicative. Depending on the sequence and the number of applications received, all qualifying students may not gain entry.
  • Circumstances may require the University to defer or cancel some courses, especially when the minimum class size (10 for certificate & diploma courses, 15 for Degrees courses) is not achieved.
  • Passes at GCE OL/SSC and HSC is considered to be grades "C" or above and passes at GCE AL is considered to be the grades "E" or above.
