This course aims to provide background knowledge to specialize in the area of visual arts and work as skilled artists upon completion of the course. This program will provide the students with a range of practical skills from drawing and painting to design and photography and new media technologies that could contribute in major ways to the development of a cottage industry in local souvenirs such as calendars, mugs, t shirts, bags printed with Maldivian motives, postcards and so on.

Fees stated above are tuition fees for local students. Fees for international students is twice the stated fees. All fees are quoted in MVR.

This program will equip students for a career in the visual and creative arts, from gallery professionals and professional artists to curators, educators and government arts workers. The skills and knowledge students gain will equip to adapt and succeed in the expanding and changing landscape of the creative arts and will also serve as the foundation for further studies in education, or professional practice.
