This course aims to provide background knowledge to specialize in the area of visual arts and work as skilled artists upon completion of the course. This program will provide the students with a range of practical skills from drawing and painting to design and photography and new media technologies that could contribute in major ways to the development of a cottage industry in local souvenirs such as calendars, mugs, t shirts, bags printed with Maldivian motives, postcards and so on.

This program will equip students for a career in the visual and creative arts, from gallery professionals and professional artists to curators, educators and government arts workers.
