Overview

As the Maldives is a rapidly growing country with the urbanisation of new resorts and hotels there is a need for ensuring that the infrastructures are designed and built considering the safety and health of the interior environment. Interior Design takes into consideration basic human needs and aspirations for living through its expressions of style, structure, function and form. The course is aimed at all Maldivians who have interest in the field of expanding their knowledge and skill as Interior designers and want to be practicing personnel in this area.

Entry Requirements

General Entry

  • i) 2 passes in GCE A' level /HSC OR
  • ii) Attainment of a Level 4 qualification in a related field; OR
  • iii) Attainment of a Level 4 Foundation Study target program

General Notes

  • Entry requirements are indicative. Depending on the sequence and the number of applications received, all qualifying students may not gain entry.
  • Circumstances may require the University to defer or cancel some courses, especially when the minimum class size (10 for certificate & diploma courses, 15 for Degrees courses) is not achieved.
  • Passes at GCE OL/SSC and HSC is considered to be grades "C" or above and passes at GCE AL is considered to be the grades "E" or above.
