Proficiency in Ship Security Awareness course (PSSA), according to STCW A-VI/6-1, should be completed before employment on a sea-going ship. The course is suitable for Cruise Ships personnel and super yacht personnel as well. By completing the STCW Security Awareness course, you get a flag-approved STCW certificate on Security Awareness. You should achieve the required standard of competence, thus enabling you to: • contribute to the enhancement of maritime security through heightened awareness, • recognize security threats and to respond appropriately, • recognition and detection of weapons, dangerous substances, and devices, • knowledge of emergency procedures, • identify maritime security threats.
