Overview

Bachelor of Shari'ah & Law (Honours) is an advanced graduate program designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of Islamic law (Shari'ah) and its multifaceted applications. This comprehensive course explores the principles, sources, methodologies, and contemporary interpretations of Islamic jurisprudence. Students delve into specialized areas of Shari'ah, such as family law, commercial law, criminal law, and ethics, developing advanced analytical and research skills to engage with complex legal and ethical issues within the framework of Islamic law. Entry Requirements

General Entry

i) Successful completion of Higher Secondary Education (2 passes at A' Level /HSC) OR
ii) Attainment of a level 4 qualification in a related field OR
iii) Pass in MNU Foundation Studies (Level 4) target course program or equivalent.

Language Requirements

A pass in SSC Dhivehi, and an IELTS score of 6.0 with not less than 5.5 in any component or its equivalent.

General Notes

Entry requirements are indicative. Depending on the sequence and the number of applications received, all qualifying students may not gain entry.
Circumstances may require the University to defer or cancel some courses, especially when the minimum class size (10 for certificate & diploma courses, 15 for Degrees courses) is not achieved.
Passes at GCE OL/SSC and HSC is considered to be grades "C" or above and passes at GCE AL is considered to be the grades "E" or above.
