Overview

The Master of Education (ELT) course aims to engage the students in learning that will enable them to understand critique and improve their educational practice to better serve their communities and the wider society. The course caters for those who are engaged in classroom teaching and wishes to enhance their competencies, as well as educators and other professionals who work outside of classroom. For all groups, the course will provide the students with knowledge, skills and understanding that equip them to work successfully in diverse roles across schooling and other complex educational contexts.

Entry Requirements

General Entry

  • i) A Bachelors Degree in a related field AND
  • ii) If the Level 7 Qualification is not in English Medium, should attain at least 6.0 score in IELTS or equivalent.

General Notes

  • Entry requirements are indicative. Depending on the sequence and the number of applications received, all qualifying students may not gain entry.
  • Circumstances may require the University to defer or cancel some courses, especially when the minimum class size (10 for certificate & diploma courses, 15 for Degrees courses) is not achieved.
  • Passes at GCE OL/SSC and HSC is considered to be grades "C" or above and passes at GCE AL is considered to be the grades "E" or above.
