Overview
The Advance Certificate of Education program at MNU is a one-year program designed to prepare individuals aspiring to pursue higher education in the field of Education. This comprehensive program is an excellent opportunity to strengthen the knowledge and competencies necessary in the field of study and serves as an entry route to higher qualifications. Upon successful completion of ACE programme / Certificate Level 4, students can join a related degree programme such as Bachelor of Education in Primary Education or Bachelor of Teaching in English as a Foreign Language.
Entry Requirements
General Entry
- i) Three passes at GCE O' Level/SSC or equivalent OR
- ii) Attainment of a Level 3 qualification OR
Alternative Entry
- 18 years and Completion of grade 7 and 1 year work experience
General Notes
- Entry requirements are indicative. Depending on the sequence and the number of applications received, all qualifying students may not gain entry.
- Circumstances may require the University to defer or cancel some courses, especially when the minimum class size (10 for certificate & diploma courses, 15 for Degrees courses) is not achieved.
- Passes at GCE OL/SSC and HSC is considered to be grades "C" or above and passes at GCE AL is considered to be the grades "E" or above.

Upon completion of this program, graduates will not be able to directly join schools as teachers, however, it paves a way for enrolling in Bachelor's level degree programs such as: Bachelor of Education (Primary Education, Special Education, Early Childhood Education) Graduates of the Advanced Certificate in Education can pursue a Bachelor of Education program specializing in primary education in the above areas. This advanced degree will further deepen the understanding of educational principles and teaching methodologies.
