Overview
The Advanced Certificate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ACEEE) is an MNQF Level 4, one-year full-time programme designed to provide students with a strong foundation in electrical and electronics engineering and develop the practical competencies required for technician-level employment and further studies. The 120-credit programme is delivered over two semesters and covers engineering mathematics, engineering physics, electrical principles, engineering practice and ethics, control systems, electrical installation, digital electronics, and microcontrollers and embedded systems. Emphasis is placed on practical and applied learning through laboratory work, testing, measurement, simulation, fault diagnosis, and project-based activities, supported by safe working practices, engineering standards, professional ethics, teamwork, communication, sustainability, and energy-efficient practices.
Entry Requirements
General Entry
- i) Successful completion of Lower Secondary Education including Physics or Mathematics OR
- ii) Attainment of a Level 3 qualification in a related field
Alternative Entry
- i) 18 years old and 1 year of work experience
Language Requirements
- i) Pass in an English language test conducted by MNU to demonstrate their ability to communicate in English OR a Pass in GCE O Level/IGCSE English or an equivalent qualification recognized by MNU.
General Notes
- Entry requirements are indicative. Depending on the sequence and the number of applications received, all qualifying students may not gain entry.
- Circumstances may require the University to defer or cancel some courses, especially when the minimum class size (10 for certificate & diploma courses, 15 for Degrees courses) is not achieved.
- Passes at GCE OL/SSC and HSC is considered to be grades "C" or above and passes at GCE AL is considered to be the grades "E" or above.
